Dr. Robert (Robb) Johnson
O.D., FCOVD
A Fort Collins native, Dr. Robert Johnson earned his undergraduate degree in Sports
Medicine from Colorado State University, and his Doctor of Optometry at Pacific University
in Oregon, where he graduated with honors. Dr. Johnson completed clinical externships at
the Teplick LASIK center of Portland Oregon, The Pediatric and Strabismus Referral Center in
Portland, and a Vision Therapy rotation in Portland. He has also received the Practice
Management award from Marchon eyewear, and the award for Outstanding Thesis
Research Project Design. Dr. Johnson was published in the Journal of the American
Optometric Association in August 2004.
An avid outdoorsman, Dr. Johnson enjoys fly-fishing, camping, hunting, skiing and simply
being in the outdoors with his family. Other interests include movie watching, soccer
playing, and book reading. Dr. Johnson volunteers in the community with the Boy Scouts in
Pack 483. He resides in his hometown of Fort Collins with his wife, Amy, and their four
children.
Kathy Stultz
Office Manager
Kathy joined us here at Brighter Future Vision Clinic in February 2012. Originally from
Michigan, where she worked in the customer service/sales industry for over 14 years. Kathy
decided it was time for a change and moved to beautiful Colorado in April 2011. As our
Office Manager, you will find Kathy at the front desk, greeting and talking with patients,
scheduling appointments, and helping out with many other various tasks around the office.
She helps keep our office running as smoothly and efficiently as possible. During Kathy’s
free time, she enjoys being outdoors bike riding, hiking in the mountains, and going for long
walks with her husband, John. She also loves to travel and work on various crafts, such as
crocheting and sewing.
Nicole Jensen MPH, COVT
Vision Therapist
Nicole earned a BA in Sociology from the University of Wyoming before returning to her
hometown of Fort Collins to complete her Master's in Public Health with a concentration in
health communication from the Colorado School of Public Health at CSU. Nicole's education
has emphasized the importance of helping people lead healthy lives and giving people the
opportunity to thrive. She believes Vision Therapy helps people of all ages, and especially
children, create a foundation for healthier and happier lives. Nicole enjoys spending her free
time with her husband and their beagle, re-reading Harry Potter, and cultivating her
bobblehead collection, which is on display in the therapy room!
Amy Johnson
Practice Manager/Accountant
Amy’s background has been primarily financial, working for several years as a tax accountant
for Marriott International and later as an accounts manager for local health care facilities.
Her true passion, however, is in serving those around her, which led her to graduate from
CSU with her degree in Social Work. She finds that the combination of the two fields gives
her a variety of valuable work and life experiences. She currently works primarily from
home, managing all the financial aspects of the business and making sure the office stays up
and running.
When not working from home, she is working in the home, trying to keep up with four
children and all their activities. When there is any spare time, she loves spending it doing her
family genealogy and volunteering in her kids’ activities.
Aaron Johnson
Optometric Assistant
After graduating from Fort Collins High School, Aaron decided join the BFVC family part-time
as our accounting clerk. His natural abilities in math and accounting, plus an attention to
detail, have made him a huge asset in keeping things on track and organized up front.
In his spare time, he loves video-games, skiing, reading, and traveling. He is an eagle scout
and champion shot put and discus thrower.
Madison West
Vision Therapist
Madison grew up in northern Colorado and loves the mountains. She has always had a
passion for working with kids and helping people, so Brighter Future Vision Clinic was the
perfect fit! Whe she’s not in the office having fun, Madison likes to play guitar, make latte art,
and snuggle with her fur-baby, Kaiser.
Tricia Stack
ABO Certified Optrician
Tricia is a Colorado native, born in Boulder, raised on the western slope then migrated back
over the continental divide in 1999. She attended Front Range Community College and
studiednursing. Her career took a turn when she decided to get into the optical field. Trish
found it to be challenging and exciting. After 3 years, she wanted to become certified and
took her ABO exam in 2016. Tricia keeps up with the latest trends in technology and fashion.
She loves getting to know her patients and builds trusting relationships with them. During
her free time, she loves to hang out with her two amazing children Kerik and Chelsey. She
also enjoys reading, talking philosophy with her fiancé Jeff and camping.
Missy Van Sickle
Vision Therapist
Missy joined Brighter Future Vision Clinic as a part-time vision therapist. She earned a BA in
Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado and spent 15 years supporting adults
and children through trauma recovery. She has a 15-year-old son that has been playing the
drums for the last 5 years. She enjoys baking cakes and other yummy pastries with her
partner in her off time. Her family loves to travel and spend time outdoors, playing with
their mini–Australian Shepard, Oscar. Missy enjoys making people laugh and learning new
skills, and is currently playing the violin.
Kelbre Johnson
Vision Therapist/Optometric Assistant
Kelbre started at Brighter Future as a Vision Therapist Assistant, eventually training to
become a Vision Therapist and seeing her own patients. She has cross-trained in other areas
of the office as well, so you may see her smiling face at the front desk helping with patients
and projects. Her willingness and ability to jump in and help anywhere is a great asset to our
clinic.
Kelbre is currently in college studying History, hoping to eventually teach at the collegiate
level. She has a particular interest in ancient history and civilizations. In her free time Kelbre
loves to read, travel, watch Marvel movies, and take care of kids for families around Fort
Collins.
